Hello there, stranger. What is this marvelous place you’ve stumbled upon?

Well, it’s nothing short of miraculous really. After activating and deactivating Wordpress thousands of times, teaching myself .PHP and learning how to integrate my designs into this brand new software, this…place came into existence.

At this moment I bet you’re wondering “who made this place?”. Well, here I am. My name is Neil, and I’m an artist, designer and a human. To see examples of my work, check out the portfolio page.

In the last few months alone I’ve grown and stretched out farther than I ever could have imagined, and I haven’t even hit the tip yet. I hope you enjoy my nice little safe haven away from the world (and by “away” I mean, of course, in front of and accessible to millions of people) and I hope you like what you see.

Be gentle, this is my baby after all.

Cliffnotes:
Neil Orians

Artist, designer, musician, writer
Nebraska, Wisconsin, Chicago…

Neil Orians (me) is an artist living (not dying) in Omaha, Nebraska. For the most part, I work in the digital world. I code, draw, type, scan, print and design. However, over the last year and a half I’ve been throwing myself into the traditional ring to see what I can do. It’s not much.

My friends yell at me for having a lack of confidence in my abilities. I yell at myself for sucking so badly.

Currently, I play guitar and sing in a band call The Lucky Losers. I’ve written a short film yet to be filmed (we almost did once) called Breaking Point, and I’ve even won a few national awards for journalism. In high school, I played trombone and bass trombone in band and jazz band, respectively, and did a hell of a lot for social justice and activism that I don’t really want to get into right now.

Yeah, I was a busy bee.

I haven’t changed much since the whole month and a half I’ve been out. In the fall I plan on attending Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design.

Yeah. I’m going to Wisconsin. For art school.

Wish me luck, the world’s going to need it.
